Welcome

Welcome to the Portage County Regional Airport located in the heart of the Western Reserve in Northeast Ohio.  There is a newly paved 3,500 foot runway and taxiway.

We are conveniently located near Wild Water Kingdom Waterpark, Aurora Premium Outlets, Kent State University, Akron University, and the Northeast Ohio Universities College of Medicine.

Door-to-door ground transportation to these establishments, as well as commercial and industrial businesses, is available by reservation at a nominal fee. 

Portage Flight Center provides the FBO services and is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm. 

Note:  There is a temporary suspension of flight training until further notice, and the FBO office is closed on Saturday and Sunday.  A temporary outdoor toilet facility has been set up near the FBO office.  However, the automated fuel system remains available 24-hours for 100 LL and Jet A fuel.

Metro Life Flight

Metro Life Flight, an internationally recognized critical care transport service, came on board at the Portage County Airport in 2008.

NOTICE OF CHANGE IN MEETING DATE FOR JUNE!

The Board will meet on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, (instead of the usual second Wednesday of the month) at the Portage Flight Center, 4039 Nanway Boulevard, in Shalersville Township, at 7 pm.

Posted on the bulletin board at the Portage Flight Center are the latest meeting minutes, Rules and Regulations of the Airport Board, and forms for records requests.   The minutes and Rules and Regulations may also be found under the Home tab on this page!
